Sun, 1Sep - The Rivers of the Scapegoat Wilderness

It was cold in the morning as I made a wet crossing of the Dearborn River but it quickly grew hot as I followed up the drainage of the Dearborn on overgrown trail and fire burned forest.  Up and over Straight Creek Pass and even newer burned forest as I followed the Straight Creek drainage toward Benchmark.  Every time I stopped I was attacked by flies which I guess is due to the horses that I see tracks from.  Camping just short of the Wood Creek Hogback along the Straight Creek.

Finishing off the last of the birthday whiskey and will pick up my last resupply box at the Benchmark Ranch in the morning.
