Mon, 2Sep - Benchmark and the start of the Bob Marshall Wilderness

Hiked into Benchmark Ranch for my resupply box.  You hike by an over a mile long airstrip in the middle of nowhere.  Built in the 60's when the park service was rumored to be well funded and had money they had to use or lose.

At Benchmark ranch they had a nice porch to relax on and for $5 I got a hot shower.  No electricity but I had a nice lunch from stuff from a hiker box and was offered a cold lemonade with Ice!

The next section of trail entered the Bob (Bob Marshall Wilderness) on horse trails and I passed many horses and pack trains returning from Labor Day Weekend.  Camping by the West Fork of the Sun River.
