Thur, 1Aug - Crossing into Idaho/Montana and Mack's Inn

Last night the thunder and lightning continued till almost sunrise.  So glad to have a roomy dry tent. Celebrated the crossing of the border from Wyoming into Idaho/Montana with a little bottle of brandy at 10:00am. The trail had a lot of blowdowns as you hiked through the last of Yellowstone but they were mostly low to the ground and easy to cross.  

Took the Mack's Inn alternate because I heard they had a dinner theater and made it just in time for the 6:15pm showing of "Cowpokes and Petticoats".  Plenty of food, good company, and the play was a comedy, love story, musical that had audience participation and was lots of fun. Splurged on a night at the inn and will take a half day Friday to do chores in town.
